It would be a significant advancement to incorporate these models (Pooled MLR) into this evaluation, focusing in particular on the ability of the model to make reliable estimates when novel variants are emerging.

TODO:

• Head to head between MLR and MLR-pool mimics Figure 2. This acts as Figure 6.
• Follow up story: Pooling might be useful for monitoring emergences but if you have asymmetric sampling, if emergence occurs in lower sequencing intensity regions then you might have a problem.
