Unicode GetSearch #203

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. api.GetSearch(u'some unicode string'.encode('utf-8'))

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like to be able to search for non ascii terms, but UnicodeDecodeError 
occurs

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.6-1ubuntu1
