their software
3.Installed Artisan for Windows
4.Set the OMEGA HH806 AU as the Meter device
5.Port series modified to match the Device
6.Still get this message "Unable to open Serial port" from Artisan ???

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
What to to to get Artisan to read the HH806AU ???

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows 7 / Artisan v.0.7.4 (1248)

Check the installation Wiki page here on GoogleCode and read the section "Omega
HH806AU / Amprobe TMD-56". Artisan assumes channel number 0.

It's been reset to make sure the channel is "0", still won't work. Any other
options to try ?

Not that I know. Works for others. You could post on the Artisan mailing list
if someone can help. I do not own that meter nor have a Windows computer
accessible. Does the previous version v0.6 works (still available for
download). If that fails too, you could ask on the Artisan mailing list for
help.
