This may be why
some games get
stuck on the white
screen. When using
emulators on a pc,
newer games require
bios and firmware.
Just a thaught.

that could be actually a good solution for
the White Screen and other issues, Like the
psx emulator for wii that have an white screen,
when no use the bios or firmware. and a ds
emulator for pc also need it.

I don't think it's a big deal to add an option to load it right now. Would
have to
be from a preset location though - say /dsbios or /apps/desmume/bios/. Until
we're
feature complete I don't want to start adding guis, this could steal much
needed memory.
I have noway of testing though. I don't have a bios, do you need to copy it
from
your own DS? I presume it's illegal to download? Would need some help on these
two
questions ;)

as you say I assume is really illegal to download it, that´s why you
dont find them with the emulator instead you have to look for them on
your own.
I actually check on internet it appears those are the bios names
BIOSNDS7.ROM y BIOSNDS9.ROM, I don´t Attach them to or well I even
download them coz that is as we say illegal.

See r150. Like I said I don't have these files so let me know the results or
if this
improves anything.
Put arm7 & 9 bios files in SD:/DSBIOS or USB:/DSBIOS must be named :-
biosnds9.rom &
biosnds7.rom

Your issue may be
compatability. Has
adding the bios
removed white
screen issue with
heartgold and such?
If not, maybe
adding firmware
files could solve
this. I have no way
to test at the
moment so let me
know please guys...
Btw go me for
suggesting the bios
thing lol.

It seems that the bios haven´t fix this issue but gives more speed to some
games.
castlevania portrait of ruin, still the same, yoshi island is a bit more
faster, and
all the other games that I normally use to test don´t present any change.

What about the
diamond pearl and
platinum versions.
Do they get past
the title screen?
Or is it just the
speed the bios have
improved?

I was not expecting this to fix any white screen issues. I have an idea of
what's
causing that. Good that it's sped up some game though.

I test M&L: Parner in Time, FF Tactic A2 and Bomberman Land Touch, and
in middle of the game it take me back to Homebrew Channel, Im not sure
if it´s cause of the Bios or it´s just a problem of those games because
I din´t get the time to test it with the games that I normally use.
I´ll like to see if someone get any error with other games or with
yohi island(just to confirm).

"and in middle of the game it take me back to Homebrew Channel"
That happens when you run out of RAM. We're working on it.

ok, what happened is that I was not sure if these problems began
when they enable the Bios, but what happened was I was testing
with other games and not that I always use for lack of time, but
when testing with which always use gave me no error.
Maybe the firmware can help out.

You say you have problems but you're not telling me what they are. Elaborate a
bit
please?

To be honest i
think there are way
to many people
working on this. If
you constantly keep
eachother informed
on it then no
problem, but, if
there is no
communication then
the whole thing
will go a lot
slower.

Sorry if i couldn´t express myself, I thought I had a problem, because
when I download the new revision, I test M&L: Partners in time, and others
games that I´ve mentioned before, and I got the RAM problem that you already
explained to me, and I thought it was fault of this new revision, but went I
test other games like Yoshy Island and some others, I realize that it wasn´t
the revision fault, So I don´t have any problem, it was just a
misunderstanding
of my.
Now matthew is right with that, there should be always comunication if we want
that
something walk on the right path.

I completely disagree with you. We are all (with the exception of one member)
present
in #arikadosblog on EFNET and we all regularly communicate through e-mail
e-mailing
everyone at once. There is only one member of this project who causes problems
through both incompetence and ignoring the IRC channel and e-mails. He will be
thrown
off the project if he causes trouble again.
techx3:
Great. Thanks for the clear-up =)
General:
Closing this issue as the BIOS feature has been added in.
