-What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. I open the HBC and click on DeSmumE Wii.
2. The homebrew starts but get stucked on Welcome screen.

-What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The Wii freezes on that Welcome screen (Welcome to DeSmuME Wii!!! Select
Device: << SD >> Press B to see the credits) and there's no way to go ahead.
The LEDs of the WiiMote flash until i manually shut down the console with the
Power button and the WiiMote itself doesn't work.

-What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

DeSmuME Wii r185.

-Please provide any additional information below.

I've tried either manual installation of the HB on SD card and installation via
HB Browser, with and without BIOS file, with and without WAD forwarder (there's
a little pink line on the bottom of the screen if you use the forwarder), no
way to go trough that Welcome Screen.
I googled around but I found nothing helpful. I hope you can help me somehow.

i unfortunately am in the same predicament as this user. I am running on a
black WiiU with homebrew. i am able to open the emu on my homebrew channel
inside of the wii channel, however as soon as the before mentioned screen comes
up, everything stops and the system locks up. it does not matter if i try to
run it from SD or USB, the same issue arises regardless of the media. My only
theory is that our .dol source files for the emulators are corrupted, but that
can't be since I downloaded mine straight from this google code page.

I just thought I would chime in here, I found this page and am thinking about
installing a DS emulator on my WiiU in the virtual environment. I sell
FURNITURE so I am by no means an authority. I would suggest NOT using the
remotes that came with your console and pickup an older from Gamestop / Ebay.
There is something in the motion plus that freaks out the WiiU causing the
response you both are getting. Could be related but what do I know.

It is exactly as richarda... says. I have a new wii mote with motion plus
inside and it freezes the wii on the Welcome screen, but when I use and old
one with no motion plus inside it works perfect.
