The C version of the lcdtest program runs at full speed only if you start it under Mega clock and then switch to full speed. The run from reset doesn't work.
Also, when running at full speed the CTC timer value doesn't read correctly, but stays at the time constant value it was loaded at.
Could be a hardware problem.
