Describe the problem Obsidian logos displayed by documentation pages are using the old "Gemmy" logo from 2023 and earlier.

Describe the solution you'd like These can be updated to the new logo by replacing docs/assets/obsidian.png with an equivalent PNG.

Using an SVG works great too; it just requires an update to logo and favicon in mkdocs.yaml.

Additional context I did email Obsidian Support to ask if there'd be any trademark issues with using the new logo:

Hi team,

What's the general protocol for how the Obsidian logo can be used on the web by non-commercials? For example: in documentation pages, on websites of plugin authors, etc.

I'd love to update the old logo on blacksmithgu's Dataview website, where it's being used as a banner icon and a favicon. Is this broadly considered fair use, as long as the page doesn't imply an official partnership?

They confirmed a small disclaimer would cover all bases:

Hello Holo,

You can use it for this purpose as long as you include a visible disclaimer on any materials that you are not affiliated with or representative of Obsidian/Dynalist Inc. 🙂

Here's some pre-sized assets, if it helps:
