Produce a complete set of molecular biology lab equipment, 3d printed, to take to TREND courses. Actually in this case it would be more valuable to donate 3d printers and filament than to donate lab equipment. So a full set of models, plans, BOMs, assembly instructions etc to enable that.
Improve some of the software for 3D printing. Currently the GUI tools do not allow for much experimentation - for example they don't make it easy to print a small model many times in one run, using different settings for each one. A simple tool would use the CuraEngine to generate GCODE for a given test model with various different settings laid out in a grid on the print bed, then combine the different versions layer by layer so that they could all print in one run. It would then allow you to record the properties of the model in each grid position and guide you to the optimal settings.
getting very into 3d printing lately.
