Custom ios selection broken with splitted files #74

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start cfg loader with any cios. (For example, cios 249 v21 base 56)
2. Open a game with splitted files and change the (c)ios to other than the
default one (For example, the game is SC7E52.wbfs and SC7E52.wbf1, The cios can
be 250 v21 base 57/58 or 224-mload v5 base 57)
3. Start the game.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected:
Load the game.

Instead:
Error:setting up fragments X X
ID mismatch: [YYYYY] []
Error: SETWBFS: -Z

X, and Z are numbers (don't remember exactly)

YYY are letter and numbers like SC7E52

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Configurable usb loader rev70mod36
System menu 4.3U
I tested with CIOSX = d2x-v9-beta(r49)FIX.zip
and Hermes v5.1

I am using an HDD with first a FAT32 partition for config.txt e app and NTFS
for games/wbfs

I tried all the combinations.
Default = 224-mload / Others/Custom = 249,250
Default = 250 / Others/Custom = 249,224-mload

Please provide any additional information below.

With wiiflow it seems to work. I didn't try with other loaders. (Just to make
the point that it could really be a problem with cfg loader)

I tried the same scenario as you did but everything was fine with me.

I start CFG mod r36 with cios 249 d2x9 from FAT32(partition 1) then load
SC7E52 with 224-mload(v5.1) from NTFS(partition 2). There is
no problem at all.

Are you using the black or the white wii? Also are you in the same version of
cios 249 I mean "9-beta(r49)FIX"?

Another question is are your game really splitted? Which are the game you are
testing? If the game isn't reallt splitted It can't reproduce the problem.

I found this bug in the console of my cousin. When I have time I will try to
reproduce in my own Wii, he has the black version and I have the white (old)
version.

1. My Wii is white. (it's nothing to do with "white" or "black" Wii)

2. Yes, there are 2 files of my SC7E52 (same game as you did).
    SC7E52.wbfs and SC7E52.wbf1

3. My cIOS249 is d2x9beta2 . You can try if you like

I already gave back my cousin's wii, so I can't test the same cenario. But I
will try with my own Wii and HD. I am thinking if it could be a issue with his
(slow/suspending) Hard Drive..
