I have two of these smart outlets, and I noticed a few features were missing or misconfigured using the previous pinout.
The blue LED attached to GPIO16 was set to LED1, so it turned on and off with the outlet. However, this light is better suited as a "LEDLink" for two important reasons:
The blue light is VERY bright, which is undesirable in a dark room.
The yellow LED already automatically turns on and off with the outlet relay on GPIO5 and is much dimmer. (The yellow LED seems to be wired to GPIO5, so there is no way to remap its behavior anyway.)
The PWM-controlled dimmable night light was not set for GPIO4.
The analog voltage readings from the LED photodiode (not resistor) were not included for GPIO17. (In the OEM firmware, this diode is used to turn the night light on and off automatically.)
I would also like to point out that the mlink is a dead link. It appears that the Etekcity Voltson ESW15-USA Smart Outlet is no longer sold on Etekcity's website.
The amazon links for "link1" and "link2" still work but it also appears that Etekcity has removed them from sale.
I also added instructions for flashing and backing up the firmware on the device.
If you want, I can add details for this smart plug's disassembly, including pictures, as well as links to the ESP chip datasheet and FCC pages. I have written a more in-depth guide for the ESPHome community that I will upload soon. I'm just not sure how much detail you want to add to the Tasmota templates page.
