[Support]: Update documentation on recommended server hardware due to spec changes GK41 #9288

Describe the problem you are having

I've ordered a minisforum GK41 and found out they have changed their specs. The device does no longer support 2 NICs. They are in the process of updating the website product description and images, but the device is currently having 1 NIC instead of 2. The German language website has already changed the description, but the English translation still mentions 2NICs although you will receive a device with only 1.

I've had contact with their aftersales and they confirmed, there is only one NIC in the current version of the GK41:

Hello,
Thank you for your email.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
GK41 is a single port, there is an error in the picture and text, we are in the process of fixing it urgently. Would you consider keeping the device in this case?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Nina

My current favorite is the Minisforum GK41 because of the dual NICs that allow you to setup a dedicated private network for your cameras where they can be blocked from accessing the internet. There are many used workstation options on eBay that work very well. Anything with an Intel CPU and capable of running Debian should work fine. As a bonus, you may want to look for devices with a M.2 or PCIe express slot that is compatible with the Google Coral. I may earn a small commission for my endorsement, recommendation, testimonial, or link to any products or services from this website.
