"if an artist won't be found inside the lidarr database, the download process will be skipped." #17

Not an issue (maybe you could add a suggestions section). I've just deployed 0.1.5, and the first message of the log is the title above. But I want Lidarr to download anything, not only what I already have, then decide by myself whether to keep or ditch (thus adding some blocklist to subtify). The positive aspect of Subtify is that it makes you discover stuff, why not extend it beyond what your library already has? Take a look at Lidify https://github.com/TheWicklowWolf/Lidify

Also: I don't want to use spotdl, but from the docs it looks like it's tied to lidarr and if it's not running, lidarr is neither. Am I wrong? The download format can be set only for spotdl, so I guess Lidarr is inheriting it? I've set it to

That's not how it works

The format is not tied to lidarr. Lidarr is used just to do artist search, if you enable lidar apis and an artist is not found inside the lidarr database. Spotdl won't download it.

Lidarr integration won't do anything at the actual state, if spotdl is disabled.

If you want spotdl to download everything that is missing, just disable lidarr integration. If you don't want to use spotdl, just leave disabled both lidar and spotdl integrations.

When I'll have more time I will create a wiki, more detailed than the README, for now I am just focused on bug fixing and implementing new features

BTW thx I will check Lidify
