I spent a while trying to browse around before just searching my username. Later on, upon asking someone, I realized that I was supposed to click my pfp from the account switcher...which was a bit confusing, because clicking anywhere else on the image in the account switcher just, well, switches accounts.
How to reproduce:
This should be evident.
Build context:
Distro: Chrome OS
App version: Nightly
Build type: Flatpak
Additional info (if needed):
In terms of what other apps do:
Both Twitter and Tusky lets you tap the pfp in the navigation drawer to open the profile, outside of the account switcher. This is less confusing since the pfp here being clicked isn't inside the switcher.
FastHub and Boost for Reddit have a "Profile" option in the navigation drawer. Notably, Boost for Reddit also is like Tootle in that tapping the account name opens the account switcher, thus the separate option.
IMO either of the following would be a lot clearer:
Clicking the account name in the pfp dropdown will take you to the profile, and a new "Switch Accounts" option is below it.
Clicking the account name will have the same behavior as currently, but a new "view profile" button or similar option is added.
Maybe something to the effect of being able to select a pfp in the account dropdown to navigate to the profile, and only the part around the right arrow actually switches? This might still be a bit confusing though.
What should happen:
I tried to view my own profile.
