Issue Description:

• Bluetooth continuously disconnects and reconnects. Bluetooth will also outright disable, if the Audio Volume menu is opened.

Steps to Reproduce:

• Set up bluetooth device and pair it with your machine.
• Play a video via a browser, play a video file via your video player or a music file.
• Observe that bluetooth either constantly disconnects and reconnects or disconnects entirely.

Expected Behaviour:

• For bluetooth to stay connected and provide audio based on the source it is emanating from.

Actual Behaviour:

• Bluetooth constantly disconnects and reconnects.

Troubleshooting Done:

• Placed the Bluetooth USB dongle into a separate port, with the same output.
• Ran with no problems on Debian 12 on KDE and was able to pair my bluetooth device and receive audio from any source.
• Tested on a separate Dell XPS laptop with its built-in bluetooth. This had exactly the same issue as described above and would run fine with no problems on Debian 12.

Steps Taken to Resolve:

• Followed the information here https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=260780 and the issue was with the version of bluez
• Checked if bluez was installed and it is not in this case. This was after running sudo system remove bluez.

I have not unfortunately @WillieECoyote . I believe the bluez package version would need to be changed here.

Hi @Ast3risk-ops, good day to you and the dongle is supported by Arch. I have had no problems at all with using it on my Garuda Linux install (same machine that I installed and tested blendOS on). My bluetooth headphones connect without issue with Garuda.

@RudraSwat has been trying to fix this, he pushed a few updates to see if it's an upstream issue.

Hi @Ast3risk-ops and @RudraSwat many thanks for your continued efforts on this issue. On the same machine with the same bluetooth dongle, I dd'd the latest 2023-07-06 KDE Plasma build, then booted that up as a live environment. Unfortunately similarly to @ostap-tymchenko , no bluetooth dongle is detected in KDE when going to the Bluetooth Settings menu (running lsusb successfully finds the bluetooth dongle is detected by the Kernel).
