I have the module in production already, but there are a few changes I'd like to make and I was wondering if you'd be interested in me contributing back those changes:

• product variants: inherits properties from main product but has different inventory.
• JS based shopping cart & checkout: use the shopping cart controller as an API, render stuff client side maybe using AngularJS.
• Bootstrap 3 based views: that can probably be done in a theme in the worst case.

Sure, this is a good place to discuss, as we don't have a forum.

• product variants: I strongly dislike inheritance, and Orchard was explicitly designed avoiding the concept, preferring composition to it. We have a simple way to clone a product, which should give a similar result, without the complexity of an inheritance model.
• JS cart: sure, although you'd have to demonstrate advantages in comparison to the current implementation.
• Bootstrap 3: yes, a theme seems like the right place to do this. We don't want to impose Bootstrap.
