Missing translations

In the stable branch at least, the following languages have untranslated 
strings:

BG, DE, ES, HU, IT, RU, SE.

If anyone reading this is able to translate from English to one of the 
languages above, your help would be greatly appreciated!

For a list of locations of strings requiring translation, run e.g.:

$ msgfmt --check-compatibility ./locale/po/bg/rubyripper.po

I’d like to translate the strings to Slovakian (sk) language, but have no idea where I can find the English strings. I could find only the translated strings in locale/{lang}/rubyripper.mo, but they are in binary format. I can (somewhat) read them using cat:

What is the proper way of localising the strings?

Hi, thanks for your interest in translating to Slovakian! Unfortunately, I haven't really looked at the translation process yet, so I don't know how it works. There seem to be a lot of obsolete strings in the translations, the whole system needs a big clean-up. I'll try to figure out how the whole thing works and once I have more information I'll describe the translation process somewhere, probably on the wiki page for the project. If, at that moment you will still be interested in making the translation, I will be glad to accept the merge request! Until then, Cheers

This is the copy of the original wiki page from google code. If you have time and energy, you can try the process and see how this corresponds to the actual code.
