The Data Consumer / DPO can view a timeline of privacy-related events, sorted by date, for a given user. It servers several purposes:
in the process of processing a request, having a view of the history allowing to appreciate the recommendation given by PCE and put it in the context of possible reasons
after a request is processed, in case of a conflic, be able to demonstrate the context in which the request was received, the date when it was received, and the date when it was responeded to (and how).
It gives an insight into the information with which the PCE operates and allows the DPO/DC to immagine the processing as illustrated on the, now famous, animation.
Contents of the timeline
The timleine shows, for a given Data Subject, everyting that quilifies as an Event in the sens of PRIV that the PCE is aware of.
Minor considerations
It may happen that a user, not having an account, and not being known by the System, makes a Privacy Requests. Not much will be there to display a timline, neverthelles, there is a timeline including at least that request as a starting point.
