It is technically possible.
But scanning a large document might take a very long time, depending on which OCR engine is used.
It will take the same amount of time to scan and save as to scan and read.
I'll implement it if there is user demand for it.

Bookworm currently has the ability to save a scanned book to a text file for later use, but based on my recent experience reading such books and user feedback over the course of several months, it's better to add full book scanning capability directly to Bookworm in order to read it without going through each page one by one.
