Plugin crashes Mattermost webapp on enabling #228

Describe the bug On latest master, enabling plugin for the first time crashes the Mattermost webapp,

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Disable the plugin if already enabled.
  2. Refresh mattermost webapp.
  3. Enable the plugin. Notice the webapp crashes.

Expected behavior Mattermost should not crash on enabling the plugin.
