External display stuck at 1920x1200 resolution #1028

When hooking my iPad Pro up to my external monitor it displays Netflix content at 4K (proving that the adaptor, etc is capable of it), however Blink only appears at 1920x1200. I have enabled display mode switching in iOS settings and tried all the different permutations of the Blink appearance settings.

Tested with two different USB-C to HDMI adaptors, XCD and Novoo brands.

Absolutely love the app. Would love it even more at full resolution!

Hi! Is this still happening? We really go with the resolution that Apple gives us, and there are really no ways to have more granular control for now :( Kinda weird that Netflix is able to do 4K, maybe they have something special for video apps?

Yep, still happening in the same way.

I've got a guess that maybe it's related to refresh rate. My monitor supports 4K at 30hz but 1920x1200 at 60hz. Potentially Netflix signals to iOS that it's happy with a 30hz rate, but by default iOS doesn't want to drop below 60?
