The prompts for Keyboard-Interactive and Plain Password authenticators do not offer any extra information to the user. In the Keyboard-Interactive case the Instructions will often come up empty, and in the Plain Password case, we manually send the same information twice.
SSH on macOS prepends 'user@host's' which serves well for instructions and prompt, so the user knows what is requested.
