Detect solutions using `compactTranslations` #186

This should open up a wide range of benefits:

much faster,
no more (imperfect) cleaning required,
more room to optimize the number of solutions,
less clutter for languages that do not use spaces,
patterns can be stored instead of expanded solutions.
