Xiaomi's MIUI updates not downloading when Blokada is active #894

This bug may look like a duplicate of #888, but the point is that I am still getting the issue with Blokada 5, it is not solved for me.

I have a Redmi phone. The phone does show an alert when a system (MIUI) update is available. Nevertheless, it will not download the update when Blokada is active. The download is stuck at 0%, on (if I remember correctly, I am not completely sure if it was actually displaying the following message) "getting info". The problem disappears when Blokada is disabled.

I had a look on "activity" in Blokada, but nothing new is shown when the phone tries to download the system update.

May it be necessary to whitelist the MIUI system updater? (I am afraid I do not know the specific name of the app).

Can you check if the app mentioned in #587 can be bypassed in your case and if that solves the issue?

Well, I cannot check anything before a new MIUI update is released.

Anyway, the changes you mention were apparently committed into Blokada a long time ago, but I am currently experiencing the problem (the last time was when I reported this bug), so I presume that the issue is not yet fixed for me.

That commit was merged into v4, and I don't think it can be found on the v5 branch. I can check it tomorrow, tho.

A new MIUI update has been released. I tried whitelisting "com.xiaomi.discover" but, unfortunately, it did not work.

If I toogle all system apps, then I'm able to download the update. (Poco X3 Pro) Next time I'll try to narrow the filter. 2022-03-16 update: I bypassed only "com.android.updater" and the latest update downloaded well.

com.android.updater was already mentioned at this ticket: https://github.com/blokadaorg/blokada/issues/502 com.android.updater seems to be some general thing and not so brand specific like "com.xiaomi.discover", which was already enabled for blokada v4... maybe there is some hope here :)
