Cube not showing on Android #54

Open blonkm opened 9 years ago

Android stock browser shows a blank canvas.

I tested on Android on my Galaxy Ace 3. On Google Chrome the cube does appear. On the stock browser it's still blank.

Same mobile, therefore same result here. Any idea why algorithm area is also empty?

blonkm commented 9 years ago

Not yet, but I'd like to see more test results on other phones/tablets.

Keep an eye on speedsolving.com thread. I also asked on local all-about-web forum: http://diskuse.jakpsatweb.cz/?action=vthread&forum=8&topic=163348

Here is first reaction: it shows in motorola moto g with google chrome, control buttons work but it can not be controlled by touching. Screen: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=c07b68a56137f343&id=c07b68a56137f343!5199&v=3&ithint=photo,png&authkey=!ABU57BrWoKHO2cY

Report from Chamurappi: it works on Windows Phone 8.1 (but artefacts are still present). He generally suggests to try try-catch, onerror event and to alert anything defective or temporary states... I am considering to ask Lucas or Werner about it, because they definitely know how to run it on android...

Keeehi's report: Nexus 5 + Android 5, cube visible, touching doesn't do anything, buttons are working. Black artefacts are still present.

This is a duplicate issue of #17 but for the discussion I'll keep both open.

Partly belongs to issue 62.

Keeehi had the same configuration and now the artefacts are not present. The cube can not be controlled by touching yet. He tested also with tablet nexus 7 + android 4.4.4 and Chrome 43 - the same result, i.e. no artefacts, touching not possible yet. He also recommend s these emulators: http://developer.android.com/tools/devices/emulator.html and https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/ff402563(v=vs.105).aspx

Well that's good news. Thanks. I know about touch events, I haven't "touched" that problem yet.

Chamurappi confirmed that artefacts are not visible anymore on Windows Phone 8.1.
