Connecting to underground station tracks creates a tunnel entrance #2

Plenty of comments on the workshop page but no replies, so I thought I'd ask here.

When I attempt to link an underground tunnel to an underground train station, a tunnel entrance is created:

Using ETST and this Underground Train Station. Sunset Harbor 1.13.1-f1.

It depends on a lot of factors, never managed to make it work smoothly under all circumstances. Typically that happens because the station track is too close to the surface
