3 months ago EJ: Can we just add a flag to the listing since this is rare? It would still show on the listing status.
YL: It might be good to set up a process for this for the future (esp in detriot)
We currently have (draft, submitted, approved) How will this play with the Doorway features (status) in the future?
Design Q:
- Would they still be able to see their application?
- Will they still be able to view the listing?
- Instead of altering the status, can we categorize them in the left hand side bar?
Question:
- If the listing was unpublished + moved back to draft, can applicants still see it at all?
- If they can, what should we surface? Make it a status (not recommended), make it a listing flag (however that would look depends on our decision here)
Oakland Housing Authority asked Eden IR to list a property, Poppy Place, on the portal. They got 6800 applications for a waitlist using the common digital app. But now, it turns out that OHA hadn't actually purchased the property, and the deal fell through. They sent letters to the applicants, but they are very worried about folks seeing the past applications in their portal user accounts and getting confused/thinking that they still have a chance of getting housed there. Eden IR has determined that the best way to address this is to manually update the application status from "Submitted" to "Withdrawn by Property" in the applicant account display.
