Adding notmart on this task..

now the neon settings overlay contains a new lnf package called pinebook remix which is very minimal (just changes the default config for batteries) and should be selected as default when that is packaged. needs testing on a proper first-run scenario

So neon-settings have this built-in already.. I guess we will know if it works or not next image update
