If I remember it was a bug in the Plasma packages in Debian 11, but in the packages in testing, now Debian 12, it was fixed. I'll spin an ISO to check either way.

This ISO has the following:

• Since Plasma is now at 5.27.5 in Debian 12, the issue with adding Plasma widgets crashing plasmashell has been fixed.
• The package mtp-tools is installed
• I added a launcher for PyTube. It will execute a wrapper to install and then launch PyTube from the applications menu. When launched, the wrapper will ask the user for a YouTube URL to download a video immediately. The installation is done per user and in a virtual Python environment using Pipx. I can continue updating the wrapper to add other options, i.e., select output directory, resolution, only download audio, etc.
  • Or the user can use pytube directly using Konsole, as it's available in the $PATH for that user after logging out and in.
  • If this is not wanted, I can keep looking for a way to install PyTube as root using Pip during the chroot.
• VLC is the default program for MP4 and other video formats; it's also the first option in the contextual menu.
• The package yt-dlp is installed
