[folderview popup]: missing shadows #18

Closed star-buck closed 9 years ago

star-buck commented 9 years ago

further inconsistencies: popups-oxygen right-click on trash popup has thin black border (should have a shadow as defined in the widgets setting), then child-popup has white border (should also have normal shadowing as defined).

compare kde4.x: oxygen4 x

star-buck commented 9 years ago

whats odd is that it seemed to have worked with plasma 5.0 before, here is an older screenshot: oxygen5 0

notmart commented 9 years ago

Extra info to pin down the problem: It seems to happen only on the context menu of folderview entries, context menu of desktop and applets is fine (that's why the second screenshot is correct)

notmart commented 9 years ago

it's fixed in recent qt 5.3, so may be needed to update Qt packages on kubuntu

star-buck commented 9 years ago

reopened due to shadows sometimes appearing and sometimes not

star-buck commented 9 years ago

still no shadows in kci 20150116 with opengl2.0 compositor used

mgraesslin commented 9 years ago

Do you have examples where the shadows are still missing? This might require to look at each case individually.

davidedmundson commented 9 years ago

Update: I triggered the missing shadows on the desktop; there is a real problem.

I got it after setting my theme to oxygen and then logging out and back in again.

here is what happens:

star-buck commented 9 years ago

Martin or David?

star-buck commented 9 years ago

still shadows are missing (kci 20150403). Someone fix this?

mgraesslin commented 9 years ago

David: you said you were able to reproduce it, can you look at it?

davidedmundson commented 9 years ago

Fixed \o/ in a teamwork effort with Martin G in which I gave him a running commentary throughout the day.

It's in review ATM, will mark as ready for packaging when merged.

star-buck commented 9 years ago

seems fixed.
