Keyboard navigation is fixed in 4b73bb412 in the plasma-workspace repository. I can't reproduce the scrollbar not working, the scrollbar on the side is set to always active, since June 2014, though. See last comment in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=336301 .

It is active, but once you got overflow, its only possible to scroll via mouse clicking or grabbing, not with mouse-wheel (mousewheel works fine everywhere else outside of the wallpaper dialog) keyboard navigation still not possible in kubuntu-plasma5-201412051356-amd64.iso

Can't reproduce the wheel issue.

Clemens, btw: Does your test system have any kind of touch screen input connected? QQC.ScrollView significantly changes behavior depending on it (and reimplements wheel handling from Flickable, which I had to fight recently in Folder, too: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341380).

no touch screen, nor touch pad. A simple Logitech M510 mouse with two buttons and scrollwheel, which works everywhere else but in the wallpaper dialog.

OK, I assumed so since if you had a touchscreen, the keyboard nav would (ironically) have worked. With the above fix it will work in both scenarios.

Unfortunately I can't reproduce the wheel issue on my system, which has no touchscreen, either. Hovering the grid and using the wheel works, no matter whether a wallpaper is selected or not.

Can anyone reproduce this?

I can confirm both - it is not reproducible on my local system, but it is reproducible in VBox; neither keyboard nav or mouse wheel work there (live and installed).

here workstation with traditional mouse, no touchscreen, the problem is not reproducible

it still doesnt work, to show its very likely an internal issue and not mouse or hardware related, here is a screencast: first i show scrollbar is working with left-click and dragging the bar, then i try scroll with mousewheel in dolphin, konsole and wallpaper dialog (yes i did scroll the wheel over the dialog :P): https://www.dropbox.com/s/vlzyv3rdnix7zlz/wallpaper-dialog-scroll.mkv?dl=0

reproducible: all the time, all KCI ISOs so far.
