@Drsheppard01 what are your thoughts on AM?
It looks like it has just as many (if not more) apps than aip-man, as well as more features and better info and better search and better organization and no need for appimaged. It has specific scripts for each Application which can meet the needs of that app and its developer better than pkgs.json
Should I archive aip-man and the package list?
I don't think aip-man can compete:
First, am is written in shell, which can affect the performance, and second, all the graphical interfaces for the shell (like zenity) are very outdated. Yes, the aip-man database is significantly smaller but it only consists of current applications, unlike the am database which has over 1700 applications, but some last release may be 3 or 5 years old and no one can guarantee they will run.
It seems that AM is generally a better tool than Aip-Man.
Are there any advantages to using aip-man and the package list over that which would lead me to keep the project alive?
