Kernel Oops - solo6x10-2.4.2-1-3 10.04LTS & 12.04LTS

I was having issues with video output with the solo6x10-dkms release with Ubuntu-10.04LTS and was asked to compile the latest version of the solo driver to see if the issue was resolved. Once compiled, the new drivers did not seem to have any beneficial effect on the issue I was having and were highly unstable. I am now getting repeated kernel oops, that when I attempting to stop the bluecherry service would crash the kernel (this also obviously affects a reboot as well and completely locks the server up and the server never shuts down).

In an attempt to resolve this issue I completed an in place upgrade to Ubuntu-12.04LTS and recompiled the solo driver and reinstalled a fresh copy of the precise packages of the bluecherrydvr V2 Beta without successfully fixing the crashes or the video issues I was originally having. When solo crashes the following trace is produced in the kern.log and any attempt to stop the bluecherry process after the failure occurs will lock the system rendering it unusable and forcing a hard reset to bring the server back up.
