Resident Evil Freezes on v2.166 #96

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1.Load Resident Evil Zero (USA) in nintendon't. Either disc 1 or 2
2.Load a game just before the point where you have to put a dial on a door
3.The game will ask for a disc swap if you loaded disc 1
4.Put the dial in the door, the game freezes but the music keeps playing

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The game should progress, but it freezes instead, the music keeps playing.

What revision of Nintendont are you using? On what system Wii/Wii U?

I'm using v2.166 built on September 30th 2014 at 15:30:10 on a Wii 4.3U

Please provide any additional information below.

There's no difference between loading either disc 1 or disc 2, the game freezes
at the same point. Starting the leech hunter mode also freezes the game.
Pressing the reset button causes the game to return to the main screen and
everything seems to work normally, except the game still freezes at the point
described above.

Attached is the save game up to the point where the game freezes while trying
to open the door using the dial.

I had the same problem at this specific point of the game. When I put that
dial, the screen turns black but music continues. I'm using Nintendont v2.265
(built on December 24, 2014) on my Wii 4.1U. I'm using the classic controller,
loading my games from a Kingston DataTraveler USB 16 Gb.

Thanks for the answer. Sorry but I'm newbie and my english not too good. When I
click on your link (r295) there are 3 "affected files" (Patch.c,
RestoreSettingsGP.S and loader.dol, each one with the word "Diff" beside). When
I click on them I read a lot of program code, log or something like that. What
should I do with these 3 files? I think I have to put them on my Nintendont
folder and replace old files, but I don't know how to download them. Please
could you show me the right way to do it? I want to retest the game and see
what happens. Thanks for your time and patience.
