Automatically block bot accounts through a setting in my preferences #1161

Describe the solution you'd like

I'd like to be able to prevent bot accounts from following me, with a setting in my preferences, so I don't have to block each of them manually.

Recent examples: https://bsky.app/profile/funnyordie.bsky.social https://bsky.app/profile/90spiictures.bsky.social https://bsky.app/profile/poeticalphotos.bsky.social https://bsky.app/profile/9gag.bsky.social

and any other account that follows an absurdly high number of accounts.

Which is not the same as an account that has a huge number of followers - that can happen and still be genuine.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Blocking them manually one by one.

Additional context

If it technically isn't easy to distinguish these accounts, I'd also be happy with a number setting, in analogy to "reply must have n likes before I want to see it".

For myself, I'd probably start at accounts which are following more than 5000 people, and lower the number later if necessary.

Adding, coming from here:

Other people would not want to block such accounts, but just prevent them from becoming a follower.

This was only a problem in the first days after opening my account. You can mark it as closed, if you want.

This can be closed in my opinion, has been solved by moderation lists / block lists.
