animated GIFs uploaded and rendered as static images on web interface #6445

Steps to Reproduce

  1. open web interface
  2. create a new post
  3. use the image attachment to upload an animated gif
  4. the gif renders correctly as animated in the composition pane
  5. once posting, the gif renders as a static image

Additional Information

Animated GIFs apparently are rendered as static images in posts. Using the web application.
