Hi @mlocati, thanks for your Italian translation work! To streamline the localization process and avoid conflicts, Iโve merged my recent PR #6477 with another one #6457, but there is also open the #6347. Let's coordinate our efforts and merge all Italian translation PRs into a single one. Please let me know if youโre open to this.
cc @Lucaterzo
What about transifex or something like that?
This PR seems great to me and the most complete of the open ones, and it has many of the things I wanted to add after my PR that was already merged the other day.
I would say to keep this one, what do you think? maybe if you want @mlocati try to see if among the strings of the other two open PRs there is something that you missed, so we can close them and leave only this one as the next update.
cc @lucaterzo @arestifop
I've merged into this #6487 the changes from #6477 and #6347
Great! Thanks @mlocati!
I just noticed a typo in my PR:
#: src/components/ProgressGuide/Toast.tsx:156 msgid "Tap to dismiss" msgstr "**Togga** per ignorare"
Could you please make a quick fix? I apologize for the oversight. ๐

Quickly fixed :wink:
Great thanks! ๐ช

@marcomaroni-github @crazycoder1999 @arestifop @Lucaterzo what about switching to Transifex to maintain the Italian translations of Bluesky? This way we could collaborate on the translation without me having to pick other people's translations ๐
@mlocati are you thinking of become the mantainer of the italian language? :D PersonaIly I don't know how much this work will go forward in next months Let's try to reach a point where this PR is integrated in a release than we should have a Meeting on Zoom or similar and discuss some point with the one who want to continue contributing
@mlocati are you thinking of become the mantainer of the italian language? :D
Nope: it's just that if we really want X to end up where it deserves (i.e. in the unsorted waste bin) there shouldn't be texts like "Impara all'algoritmo" ๐

Me too, but it's worth trying.
Let's try to reach a point where this PR is integrated in a release
It's up to the repo maintainers: this PR can be merged at any time they prefer.
Meanwhile I gave Transifex a try:
I've added 40affb4a044f47007d8c4ae69428648773f06042 to this PR: I translated more strings, and removed may "per favore" (see the "Rivolgersi all'utente" section at https://tp.linux.it/buona_traduzione.html)
I've added commit c2be829d8a612146984138f39f8ebd153f949ef2
@mlocati I agree that using a community translation platform like Transifex would make managing translations much easier. It would reduce the number of PRs and make it simpler to keep track of changes. I can join the project.
I can join the project.
@arestifop what's your Transifex username?
@mlocati just joined, username "arestifop"
username "arestifop"
@arestifop invited!
@marcomaroni-github I accepted your Transifex join request too (sorry for the delay: Transifex has always had problems sending email notifications).
I've added some missing translations, as well as fixed some ugly translations, and used always the same translation terms for some original translation terms (eg "handle" is now always "nome utente").
