Huh, UIKit looks pretty useful ... lots of widgets created, and it's super-light-weight:

Actually, the Piaf admin tool looks perfect. That uses Bootstrap :-( But, hey, it's the best admin framework I've seen in ages; worth it.

So, in answer to this question/ticket: we'll just use whatever admin framework we like uses.
