When one selects several lines and runs Plugins-Column Sorting-Sort, it looks like sorting is being done by first chars of selected lines. However, there is a column select mode in Notepad++ (Alt+mouse), is it possible to start the sorting by first chars of selected columns (which could be not the first chars of the lines)?
