WinRAR archive files #44

So I download the randomizer from the website.

The only problem is that it downloads as a WinRar archived file. I go to open
the randomizer, but it just takes me to the guts in WinRar. Its labeled as a
.jar file, but it refuses to open as such.

Apologies if this is an easy fix, still getting used to the whole deal.

That's not really a problem with the randomizer but with WinRAR, which assigns
itself upon installation to open JAR files by default if you don't change it.

Assuming you are on an up-to-date Windows system (i.e. not XP or earlier),
navigate to the Default Programs item in Control Panel and select "Associate a
file type or protocol with a program", find .jar on that list, and select
Change program... If Java shows up as a choice in the next dialog, you can just
pick that and click OK. Otherwise, you need to locate the binary yourself by
clicking Browse...; a typical location for the Java installation is C:\Program
Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe.
