can't add new device sparkfun blynkboard #200

I have not used my blynkboard for some time and registered a new account. I have flashed the firmware with the latest version. I have created a template and copied the template ID and auth code into the firmware before flashing. I have connected to the device network and provided the ssid and password. The device connects to the local network and then to the blynk cloud, but then fails to authenticate. I am seeing a purple flashing led and have been unable to get past this. I have tried connecting to the device using the android app and this connects to the device, but then fails to register the device. I am unable to locate my QR code. Is there any way that I can use the sparkfun blynk device or is it no longer usable? Thanks

Hello. Are you able to check the device console output?

Thanks for the response. I hadn't hooked up a console, but I'll do so and reply.
