The goal of this feature is to have the server correctly accept posts from the micro.blog mobile app.

From IndieWeb https://indieweb.org/Micropub:

Micropub is an open API standard (W3C Recommendation) that is used to create, update, and delete posts on one's own domain using third-party clients, and supersedes both MetaWeblog and AtomPub. Web apps and native apps (e.g. iPhone, Android) can use Micropub to post and edit articles, short notes, comments, likes, photos, events, or other kinds of posts to your own site.

I was working on this for couple of hours. and play around with git commit with jgit and wrote small spring boot app. then I start looking for jekyll and micropub. find out https://github.com/voxpelli/webpage-micropub-to-github it looks like covers all the issues you entered.

@ozkanpakdil that's amazing, thanks, it does look like exactly what I was thinking about!

@patdryburgh check this out, it looks like it does all of this already. I'll test it and get it setup and see if it works.
