client crashes in background when IMAP server not available

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I get a crash report from time to time also when not using the client. 
Sometimes this happens during flight mode, but also when network coverage is 
there.
2. Uploaded crash report, see line 259, time stamp 2/6/2011, 14:38 on Google 
Docs.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Client shouldn't crash without my interaction, does it?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.0.5 (Can you provide a new apk as that one is from Dec 2010?)

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm getting tired of closing these kind of bugs...

We have fixed this bug in our development version and _REALLY_ need to release 
a new version!!!!

The calendar sync is still in trouble. It crashes due to some weird interaction 
with (probably?) Google Sync and takes all data with it :-( We're still trying 
to resolve that problem and then there'll be a new version.
