this was an error when you didn't set a default, the parent default wasn't inherited. it's already fixed in master here: https://github.com/thedannywahl/moodle-theme_elegance/commit/a287ecde70bb4415c4be344617d4815c8c31e28a#diff-b8e1e3d02180e6b50236c73b2a28bd9aR177
