Discuss: Playgroup Start Date? -> Friday 3rd Feb 2023 ⏳

Right now, there is a lot on our collective minds 🤯 and lots to do before we can welcome visiting children into the playgroup #7 📝 A question we haven't yet addressed is When? 🤷‍♀️ 📆

Could we aim to start on the Friday 3rd of February 2023? 2️⃣ 3️⃣ This would give us most of January '23 to get everything done ... ✅

I really LOOOOVE having "deadlines". It creates this (positive) pressure encouraging us to collaborate towards achieving a shared goal: open the playgroup! I'd would suggest all of use going over **and* confirming the "must get done" tasks we need to work on before** welcoming people. This will be help us set expectations for the next month.

If we can get that list ready (and printed) this week, I'm on board on with the proposed deadline! 🦾

Sweet. Also a huge fan of having launch deadline. 📆 🚀 Even if we look at the list of work that needs to be done before we can allow other children and decide it’s too much to achieve in 1 month, just opening this issue is a starting point. 👌

Working back from Friday 3^rd of February 2023, We need to have:

1. The registration <form> ready and accepting submissions #9
2. At least 3 more items of content on the website e.g:
   • Rainy Day Activities anyone can do with their kids [@Stephanymtr]
   • Books we recommend to parents considering the Montessori Approach
   • Our views on Technology, TV & Smart Phone exposure in toddlers; [@nelsonic]
   • Our approach to food, meal prep and introduction of variety [@iteles]
   • Toilet Independence - when is the “right time”; hint: when the child is “ready” [any of us]

     If we each commit to writing a 200-500 word post in the next 2 weeks we could easily boost the site’s SEO.

It's February 22nd, so sadly we missed that deadline. There's still a lot of work to be done, but I believe we should have a another deadline - maybe even print it and put it up on the playroom moodboard as reminder. When should the next start date be? Just a quick response to your to do list:

1. I have shared my thoughts on the interest form, so it'd be fantastic if @iteles has some time to revise it, so that it can be created and shared with people who are interested.
2. I created and shared Rainy Day Activity ideas on the website , and two other posts. I'm planning to brainstorm/research a new post today.
3. I'll update that issue today with what I have done so far.

I didn't reply right away because this needed to percolate a little in my mind and I didn't want to be a nay-sayer. But ultimately February was going to be a very busy month setting up new routines 👶 , organising the existing stuff in the space so it's out of the way and we know where everything is (i.e. de-cluttering https://github.com/bmhco/shared/issues/26) and re-adjusting to life and laying foundations for this.

I feel early April is totally doable and am up for focussing to get this done this month.

Please try and be specific with the date in April 📆 and bare in mind that it's Easter and there will be a new member of your Bro's family 👶 Which means we may need to be away for a couple of days. 💭
