Child Proof Bathroom Cabinet #21

Task

In addition to bathroom essentials, there are medicines being stored in the bathroom cabinet. We should put medicines up and away and out of children's reach and sight. Children are curious and put all sorts of things in their mouths. Even if you turn your back for less than a minute, they can quickly get into things that could hurt them. I believe we should:

safety lock on the top drawer for sure. 👍

( I'm going over P-1 issues) Do you all already have safety locks? Is this something you want me to do ?

I think we need to move most of that stuff to a new cabinet/cupboard. A useful NextAction could be to:

  1. Grab one of the transparent IKEA SAMLA storage boxes
  2. Sort through everything in the two drawers leaving anything that is non-hazardous in the drawer.
  3. Put anything hazardous e.g. Ethanol, Paracetamol, disinfectants and anything else with a warning on the label into the box.

Once the box is full of anything that should not be in the reach of o child, take new photos of both the drawers and storage box and upload.

From there we can determine where to store the items that should not be in child's reach. 👌

Alright, I will get started on this right now.

Here is what I was able to do this am

I removed everything that I felt it was unsafe to leave in child's reach: Hand sanitizer, medicine, cream, lotion, toilet/bathroom refresher, screws and some other bits. I put everything inside a SMLA box:

I put the box inside a shower stall in the bathroom upstairs until you decide where the best place to store it will be.

Here is the after: image image

That box is just missing a label so you all know what's inside.
