Ball sports cutting strips

I would like to set up some strips for our son to practice his cutting skills, first i straight lines, then advancing to zig zag, etc.

In order to do this I'd like to print out some strips with dotted lines separating various objects so that he can cut across the dotted lines. To make this more interesting, I thought we'd do this with something he likes: ball sports.

So the task here is to find images, preferably royalty-free of as many items pertaining to as many ball sports as possible. Each one will be in one 'square' to be cut out on the strip and at the end of the cutting activity we can reuse these as a matching activity.

Just a few sports:

Hi! I requested access to try to show you but haven't got it yet so just want to try to explain:

You put the dotted (cutting) lines through the middle of the pictures and I think that’ll be confusing at this first stage (like why would I cut THROUGH a picture?). We want him to just cut out the individual pictures so each will be in a box and he can cut between pictures. This is the example (top row) I could find. Thank you!

@iteles I have updated all the images based off on what you asked. You can check the link above, but here is a sample image. It turns out that removing the margins didn't give us an (big enough) extra strip... 💭

So I made them a bit smaller just to fit (I only did this on page one, the other pages will still need to be done):

And I still think they're too big. I printed one off and the pictures are below but the dotted lines are long enough that they will require two cuts of the scissors to cut. That's level 2 of cutting skills! Level 1 is just to be able to cut along a line, then the next level is to be able to keep cutting along that line with the paper in the way etc. Then zig zags, shapes, etc.

In case anyone isn't sure, that trio of basketball players are part of the '92 USA Dream Team line up (Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson). 😉

I also feel like the lines are waaaaaay too thick - unnecessarily so, particularly the lines where the adults are cutting across the page to create the strips (for now).

So could we please:

• Make the lines across the board a bit thinner
• Duplicate the existing pages (we want to keep the big ones for the level 2 cutting without having to re-do all the work)
• Make them all a bit smaller - I reckon you could try to fit 5 strips on a page and see if we can get those to be 'one cut' cutting strips.
