I adjusted things a little so that "Gamma" is all on one line and the single-letter columns are the same width, but I'd rather not mess with the cell padding because I think that would impact readability, and since I'm not messing with cell padding, the table is going to remain larger than the margins.
I actually looked at this for a bit last week, but I think that short of making that page landscape, we are not going to get around the margins issue.
Reviewer Wolfe says: "A couple little things bother me about the layout of your substitution table. 1) “Gamma” is split between lines, 2) the table is considerably wider than the page margins (probably not much you can do about this, short of dividing the table, although reducing your cell padding would help with this and the previous point), and 3) the narrow, single-letter-width columns are of varying widths. All minor points, but when everything else is laid out so nicely, little things tend to be somewhat magnified!"
