Malt is giving me fully transparent / no rendered images, as well as lagging while in the viewport's Rendered Mode #548

Issue description and reproduction steps

Switch Render Engine to Malt Switch to rendered preview viewport (shows nothing and lags Blender) Try to render a frame (shows nothing)

Attachments

When setting the viewport to Rendered Mode all of Blender will lag considerably, as well as models not rendering at all. Also, when trying to render a frame the render will be completely empty. I have temporarily enabled Debug Mode to see if I could diagnose the issue but nothing. This happens both in a default Blender startup as well as with the Malt material examples.

Forcing Blender to use Python 3.10 instead of 3.11 solved the issue.
