Pinch-zoom causes map to jump

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Zoom with pinch-gesture (two fingers) and instantly release fingers

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
2. The map jumps instead of staying centered

Note that if I zoom and hold it for a while before releasing my fingers, it 
works perfectly.
I already tried to increase MultiTouchController.EVENT_SETTLE_TIME_INTERVAL but 
with no success.

I tried a lot but had no success yet, so I would appreciate every hint/solution.
