The pragmatic solution is to recommend using WordPress core and deprecate oik-privacy-policy.
We'll update it and mark it as Gutenberg compatible: No
.
Further work will be needed to properly deprecate the plugin. e.g. Removal of options when the plugin is deleted. This will be a separate issue.
Closing this as I don't intend to remove the plugin from wordpress.org

If and when the new block editor is merged into WordPress the HTML generated by oik-privacy-policy will not be immediately compatible as it will appear to be a classic block. It would be nice if the generated code produces core blocks.
